Purple pincushion flowers have become one of my favorite dye garden plants. This deep purple colored variety of the pincushion flower dries perfectly and has quite a bit of color potential - just a handful of blossoms can create incredible color especially when used in bundle dyes. These homegrown flowers produce colors ranging from slate grey blue and green, and fun saturated tones of teal. The center of the flowers can also be used in bundle dyes to make flashes of electric yellow.
